most teachers are difficult to handle differences in mathematicsheld by students .. As a general rule, problems in learningmathematics can be distinguished by the source implementation of the difference between the practice of teaching mathematicshas the quality of traditional and progressive qualities.Furthermore, we can to describe the two characteristics on the practice of teaching mathematics. The first, traditional characteristics to achieve such subjectsseparated; teacher as distributor of knowledge, the role of passivestudent, students have no say in curriculum planning; accent on memory, practice and memorization; use of external rewardsextrinsic motivation; teachers give highest priority to academicachievement; periodic testing; accent on competition; little emphasis on creative expression, etc. Although the characteristicsof progressive teaching subjects such as integrated; teacher as a guide for the educational experience; active role of pupils,students participate in curriculum planning; learning is dominatedby the techniques of the invention; external rewards andpunishments are not necessary that is intrinsic motivation;teachers give high priority to social and emotional development;small trials; accent on cooperative group work; accent on creative expression, etc.
Learning math in school activities such as investigation ofpatterns and relationships; such as creativity takes imagination,intuition, and invention; mathematics such as problem-solving activities, and mathematics as a means of communication.
